• Question: why do sleep walker have fits if you wake them up and are they deadly?

      I’m not really sure to be honest. I suppose it might be because when you go to sleep you are in bed, and if you are woken up somewhere else you might get a really big shock which might be bad for you. I don’t think they are deadly, unless the person accidentally falls down the stairs or something like that.

      It’s a bit of a myth that waking up a sleep walker can be deadly. It’s true that if you wake a sleep walker in an aggressive or forceful manner you might scare them and they could lash out and whallop you! But there don’t appear to have been any documented cases on a sleep walker having fits or dying from being woken up.

      Some people have driven cars whilst being in a sleepwalk state!
