The skin is the biggest organ in the body. It is also the organ that is most exposed to the environment and subject to damage by sunlight etc. As we age the skin begins to lose its elastic tissue. Pinch your skin and see how quickly it springs back to its original position. So age plus environmental factors do damage. Pinch your Mum’s skin measure how long it takes to spring back, compare that to your granddad’s spring back time.

I’m sat here pinching my skin Norman!…I may have one or two wrinkles! Might have to rush out and buy some over priced cream that doesn’t do anything!

My fingers and hands are very wrinkly.
