      This is an often asked question and can easily be found in Google etc. All mammals have a balance organ in their ears called a vestibular organ. Look it up. A cat can flip its head around very rapidly and the rest of the body follows, so it lands feet first. This will be OK provided the fall is not very high, if high a new cat will have to be bought
