My favourite scientist ever was Stephen Jay Gould because he came up with lots of new and interesting ideas about how evolution happens and was really good at explaining them to other people. Lots of people disagreed with his ideas (I disagree with some of them!) but he still kept finding new ones and coming up with evidence to support his ideas which I think was really great. He changed the way we think about evolution, after Darwin.

I like Alexander Fleming best – he discovered the first ever antibiotic, penicillin, which is used to treat bacterial infections. And his discover was just an accident, when his experiment was contaminated – fantastic!!

I do not have a favourite. There are scientists who have changed the world in the way we THINK in no particular order you should get to know Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Michael Faraday. There are also scientists who have made things that changed the way we LIVE, Alexander Graham Bell, Marconi, James Watt and Edison. Read about them and maybe they will inspire you to be one of the lucky giants who have changed the world.
