I think that the most popular website I use is google, you can find out almost anything using google, plus I have to use it to find all the science write ups that people have done before me so that I can learn how to do things and what other people have already done.
The website that I use most often is the Paleobiology database, it’s quite a complicated website but it has information on it about every fossil that scientists have ever found! I think that’s pretty amazing and it’s really useful for me when I need to find out something about a fossil.

Definitely google – whenever I have a science question, this is the first port of call as it helps you to find lots of information and websites on a topic!

There is also a part of Google called Google Scholar – this looks up scientific papers which report other scientists research findings…this is the best type of information for a scientist as it is very reliable. Before a paper is published, it is checked by at least 2 other scientists who don’t work with the person who wrote the paper…they make sure that it has been done correctly – just like when your teacher marks your work!

Other than google, I suppose I use Facebook a lot, plus twitter and the BBC news website! I also frequently use the website of a journal called Public Library of Science Neglected Tropical Diseases – this publishes paper by researchers working on similar diseases to me and it has lots of useful information to help my own work. I’ve even published 2 papers on that website myself!
