My research work doesn’t have anything to do with the horse meat scandal, but there are some people that I work with who have been on the news talking about it, so the research in my department is very varied!
In my spare time I run a food group – we hold events for the public to learn more about where their food is coming from (farm visits and things like that) – that has quite a lot to do with the scandal, but we have been going for a long time before the current news stories. It’s pretty scary to not know where your food is coming from, or what is even in it!
