From an early age I was interested in the mechanisms that allow animals, humans and other creatures to move, breed and age

I’m not sure really…I just suppose I liked learning about science, particularly biology – its really interesting when you learn about all the tiny little processes that are happening inside every living thing – people, plants, animals. I was quite good at biology, so I stuck with that!

I’ve always just chosen to carry on studying the things that I find the most interesting and enjoyable, I’ve never really known for sure, but I really enjoy doing science research now and that’s what I ended up doing by just carrying on with the things that I liked the most at school and sixth form and universtiy!
